We started Travelholic to make Cairo feel like home for the people we host. Five years on, that's still the only KPI that matters.
A note from the founder
“We didn't set out to build a serviced-apartment company. We set out to host the way Egyptians host — and the company is what came out the other side. Every home we open, we open with the same question: would I send my mother here?”
What we believe
إكرام الضيف is the principle that the guest's comfort is your responsibility, not your performance. We hire for it, train for it, and fire for the absence of it.
Platforms are a fine way to find us once. After that, the relationship belongs to the guest and the home. Lower rate, better service, repeat stays — everyone wins.
Every home has a personality. We don't make 134 copies of the same room. The trade-off is that we'll never run a thousand homes — and we're at peace with that.
Homes Not Rooms
The hospitality industry calls them units, listings, properties. We call them homes — because the difference shows up in the work. A home gets a real kitchen. A unit gets a kettle. A home gets a bookshelf. A unit gets a TV. The word changes what we look at, and what we look at changes what we ship.
Our story so far
2017
A 2BR we ran ourselves, on weekends, while keeping our day jobs.
2019
Three full-time team members. First housekeeping playbook.
2021
Our largest cluster opens — fifteen apartments and our first proper concierge desk.
2023
Smart check-in goes live. 90% of arrivals now happen without a human handover.
2025
A long-stay project for remote workers — co-working floor, monthly rates, slower stays.
2026
We launch this site to bring more guests into the direct relationship.
