Welcome to Travelholic. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, our booking channels, and the accommodation, hospitality, and related services we provide across our portfolio of serviced apartments, residences, and vacation rentals in Egypt. Please read them carefully. Your reservation with us is built on these Terms, and we have written them in plain, hospitable language so that your stay with us is comfortable, secure, and well understood from the very first interaction.
Travelholic is the trading name of هولك لإدارة العقارات, registered at 220B South Academy, New Cairo, Cairo, Egypt. You may reach us at any time at hello@travelholic.eg.com or via phone and WhatsApp at +20 11 2222 0844.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing our website, browsing our listings, making a reservation through the Travelholic website, contacting us via WhatsApp or any manual booking channel, submitting a reservation inquiry, completing a payment, checking into one of our properties, or otherwise using any service offered under the Travelholic brand, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not accept these Terms in full, please refrain from making a reservation and from using our services. Continued use of any Travelholic channel constitutes ongoing acceptance of the most current version of these Terms.
These Terms apply equally to the lead guest, all accompanying guests, and any individual occupying or visiting a Travelholic unit during the reservation period. The lead guest is responsible for ensuring that every member of their party is aware of and complies with these Terms.
Booking Eligibility
To make a reservation with Travelholic, you must:
Be at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of booking. Reservations made by individuals under this age will not be honored, and Travelholic reserves the right to cancel any booking found to have been made by a minor.
Present, upon request and at check-in, legally valid government-issued photographic identification for the lead guest and, where required, for all accompanying adult guests. Acceptable forms typically include a national ID card, passport, or other officially recognized identification document.
Hold any valid residency permit, visa, or entry permission required by Egyptian law for the duration of your stay, where applicable.
Travelholic reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to refuse or cancel any reservation that does not comply with applicable Egyptian laws, immigration regulations, residency requirements, hospitality regulations, or our internal operational and safety standards. In such cases, the reservation will be treated in accordance with the applicable provisions of these Terms and our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
Mandatory Documentation Requirement
In line with applicable Egyptian hospitality laws and the regulations governing the accommodation sector, Egyptian and Arab guests are required to present an official marriage certificate where required under applicable Egyptian hospitality laws and regulations. This requirement is mandatory and not subject to waiver at the property level.
All guests, regardless of nationality, must present valid identification at check-in. Where local regulations require additional documentation — including but not limited to marriage certificates for couples from certain nationalities, residency permits, or proof of legal status — the lead guest must produce such documentation upon arrival.
Failure to provide the required documentation may result in denial of check-in. In any such case, the reservation will be treated as a guest cancellation and will be subject to the applicable terms set out in our Cancellation & Refund Policy, including any non-refundable amounts that may apply.
We respectfully ask all guests to anticipate this requirement before arrival to ensure a smooth and dignified check-in experience.
Booking Confirmation
A reservation is considered confirmed only after Travelholic has received full payment of the total reservation amount and issued a written booking confirmation by email or WhatsApp. Until full payment has been received and confirmation has been issued, the reservation remains tentative and is not guaranteed.
Tentative reservations do not lock the unit, the rate, the dates, or any associated services. Travelholic reserves the right to refuse, release, reassign, or cancel any unpaid or partially paid reservation at any time and without prior notice, particularly during periods of high demand.
The booking confirmation issued by Travelholic constitutes the binding record of the reservation and supersedes any conflicting verbal communication, screenshot, or third-party statement. In the event of any discrepancy, the details set out in the official Travelholic confirmation shall prevail.
Payment Terms
Travelholic accepts the following payment methods:
For direct bookings made through the Travelholic website, payment is processed via our secure online payment gateway, which accepts major international and local debit and credit cards.
For bookings arranged via WhatsApp or other manual booking channels, payment may additionally be made by cash or InstaPay, subject to confirmation by our reservations team and in line with our internal verification procedures.
All rates on the Travelholic website are displayed in Egyptian Pounds (EGP) and may also be shown for reference in United States Dollars (USD). Final charges are processed in EGP. Where a guest views or agrees to a price in USD or another currency, the equivalent EGP amount at the time of charging shall be the binding amount. Travelholic is not responsible for fluctuations in the exchange rate applied by your card issuer, bank, or payment provider, nor for any conversion fees, foreign transaction fees, or processing charges levied by third parties.
Where applicable, rates may be exclusive or inclusive of taxes, municipality fees, tourism fees, value-added tax, or other government-imposed charges as required by Egyptian law. The applicable tax treatment for each reservation will be communicated at the time of booking or set out on the booking confirmation.
All payment instructions provided by Travelholic are issued exclusively through our official channels. Travelholic shall not be responsible for any payment made to accounts or individuals other than those officially communicated by our reservations team.
Pricing Error Protection
Travelholic takes reasonable care to ensure that rates, availability, and descriptions on our website and across our booking channels are accurate. However, errors may occasionally occur.
Travelholic reserves the right to cancel, correct, amend, or refuse any reservation that results from, or is affected by:
Technical errors, system failures, integration faults, or platform malfunctions; pricing mistakes, mis-keyed rates, or display errors; human error in rate loading or reservation handling; software bugs or website defects; currency display inaccuracies or conversion errors; or any other inaccuracy that produces a rate clearly inconsistent with our published rates and the prevailing market rate for the same unit on the same dates.
Where such a reservation is identified, Travelholic will notify the guest as promptly as reasonably possible and offer the option to either confirm the booking at the corrected rate or cancel the booking with a full refund of any amounts paid. No further compensation shall be due in respect of any such correction or cancellation.
Check-in / Check-out Policy
Standard check-in time is from 1:00 PM on the day of arrival.
Standard check-out time is at 11:00 AM on the day of departure.
Early check-in before 1:00 PM is subject to availability and operational readiness of the unit on the day of arrival and may incur an additional fee. Where possible, early arrival can be requested in advance through our reservations team, but it cannot be guaranteed until confirmed in writing on the day.
Late check-out after 11:00 AM is subject to availability and may incur an additional fee. Late check-out must be requested in advance and confirmed in writing. Unauthorized late departure beyond the agreed check-out time may be charged at the prevailing nightly rate or an applicable late check-out fee, at Travelholic’s sole discretion.
For arrivals outside standard operational hours, late check-in arrangements should be communicated to our reservations team in advance to ensure that a Travelholic representative is available to welcome you.
Visitors Policy
Travelholic accommodations are reserved exclusively for the use of the registered guests named on the reservation. Visitors are not permitted to enter, occupy, or remain within any Travelholic unit unless explicitly approved in advance by Travelholic management.
Where visitor access is requested, the lead guest must obtain prior written approval from our reservations or operations team. Approval, where granted, is at the sole discretion of Travelholic and may be subject to additional conditions, identification requirements, or fees.
Unauthorized visitors, occupancy violations, exceeding the maximum permitted number of guests as set out on the booking confirmation, or hosting non-registered individuals — whether overnight or otherwise — constitute a material breach of these Terms and may result in:
Immediate removal of unauthorized individuals from the property; cancellation of the reservation; denied access to the unit; immediate termination of the stay; treatment of the reservation as a guest-initiated cancellation; and forfeiture of all or part of the reservation amount, with no refund payable depending on the severity of the breach.
Travelholic reserves the right to take any additional protective or recovery actions it deems necessary, including reporting the breach to building security, building management, or, where appropriate, local authorities.
Quiet Hours
To preserve the comfort and wellbeing of all guests, residents, and neighbors, quiet hours apply across all Travelholic properties from 10:00 PM onward each evening.
During quiet hours, guests are asked to keep noise levels considerate, to avoid loud music, gatherings, or activities that may disturb other occupants of the building or surrounding residences. Repeated or serious breaches of quiet hours may result in warnings, additional charges, or, in severe cases, termination of the stay in accordance with these Terms.
Smoking Policy
Smoking is permitted only within selected Travelholic units that have been specifically designated as smoking units. A non-smoking policy applies in all other units and in all indoor common areas of every Travelholic property.
Where a unit is designated as non-smoking, this applies to cigarettes, cigars, pipes, vaping devices, electronic cigarettes, shisha, and any other form of smoking or inhalation product.
Smoking in a non-smoking unit constitutes a material breach of these Terms and may result in additional cleaning charges, deep-deodorization charges, damage charges to soft furnishings, curtains, mattresses, and any affected surfaces, and, where appropriate, immediate termination of the stay. These charges will be billed to the lead guest and may be collected from the payment method used to secure the booking.
Pets Policy
Travelholic welcomes a limited number of well-behaved pets in selected properties only, and subject to the following conditions:
Only pets weighing under 10 kilograms are accepted; pets are permitted only in specific units designated as pet-friendly, as confirmed in writing by our reservations team prior to arrival; an additional pet fee and, where applicable, a refundable pet deposit may apply; pets must not be left unattended in the unit at any time; pets must be kept on a leash within all common areas of the building.
The lead guest is solely and fully liable for any and all damage, soiling, or disturbance caused by their pet, including but not limited to: odor removal, deep cleaning, scratches, stains, excessive cleaning, maintenance, furniture damage, replacement of soft furnishings, repairs to flooring, walls, or fixtures, and any complaints or claims raised by neighbors or building management.
Bringing a pet into a unit that has not been confirmed as pet-friendly, or bringing a pet that exceeds the permitted weight, may result in additional charges, removal of the pet, or termination of the stay.
Parties & Events
Parties, social gatherings, events, large group celebrations, professional gatherings, photo shoots, and any similar activity are strictly and unconditionally prohibited at all Travelholic properties.
This prohibition is absolute and applies regardless of the number of attendees, the duration, or the perceived nature of the gathering. Travelholic reserves the right to terminate any reservation immediately upon evidence or reasonable suspicion of a party or unauthorized event, to deny access, to remove all occupants from the property, to treat the reservation as a guest cancellation with no refund, and to charge for any resulting damage, complaints, fines, or operational disruption.
Illegal Activities and Misconduct
Travelholic operates in full compliance with Egyptian law and expects all guests to behave in a manner consistent with the law, with public order, and with the standards of a premium serviced hospitality environment.
The following are strictly prohibited at all Travelholic properties:
Prostitution or the facilitation of prostitution; the use, possession, sale, or distribution of illegal drugs or controlled substances; any criminal activity or illegal conduct of any kind; harassment, intimidation, threatening behavior, or violence directed at staff, other guests, neighbors, building personnel, or members of the public; deliberate disturbance of other occupants or neighbors; misuse of the property, its fixtures, fittings, or amenities; abusive or aggressive behavior, whether verbal, physical, or through any means of communication; and any conduct that violates Egyptian law, public morals, or applicable hospitality regulations.
Any breach of this clause may result in: immediate termination of the reservation; immediate removal of the offending guest and their party; cancellation of any future reservations associated with the same guest; denial of access to all Travelholic properties; forfeiture of the entire reservation amount with no refund; reporting of the conduct to the relevant authorities; and any further action Travelholic considers necessary to protect its staff, guests, properties, and reputation.
Travelholic reserves the right to refuse service to any individual whose conduct it considers, in its sole discretion, to be incompatible with these Terms or with the standards of our hospitality environment.
Damages and Property Misuse
The lead guest is financially responsible for the unit, its contents, and its condition throughout the stay. This responsibility extends to the conduct of all accompanying guests and any approved visitors.
Without limitation, the lead guest is responsible for the cost of:
Breakages and damage to furniture, fittings, fixtures, appliances, electronics, kitchenware, bedding, linen, decor, or any other item within the unit; stains on upholstery, mattresses, carpets, rugs, curtains, or other soft furnishings; missing items removed from the unit; excessive cleaning required as a result of the condition in which the unit is left; smoking-related damage in non-smoking units, including odor, burns, or residue; damage resulting from misuse of the unit, its appliances, or its amenities; and damage arising from negligence, recklessness, or failure to follow reasonable house rules.
Where damage or misuse is identified during or after the stay, Travelholic reserves the right to assess and charge a reasonable amount to the payment method used to secure the booking, or to bill the lead guest directly. Travelholic will, where reasonably possible, provide supporting evidence of the damage and the corresponding charge.
Post-checkout charges may be applied where damage, missing items, or unusual cleaning needs are identified following departure, and the lead guest agrees to such charges as a condition of the reservation.
Security Deposits
A security deposit is generally not required for short stays at Travelholic.
For selected long-term stays, extended bookings, group bookings, or stays involving specific property types — including but not limited to villas and larger residences — a refundable security deposit may be required prior to or upon check-in. The amount, mechanism, and refund timeline of any such deposit will be communicated in writing in advance of the stay.
Where a deposit is held, Travelholic reserves the right to deduct from it any amounts owed under these Terms, including charges for damage, missing items, excessive cleaning, unauthorized smoking, unauthorized visitors, or other breaches. The remaining balance, if any, will be refunded in line with the agreed refund mechanism after a reasonable post-checkout inspection has been completed.
Utilities and Infrastructure Disclaimer
Travelholic operates within the realities of the local infrastructure environment in Egypt and depends on third-party utility providers, building services, telecommunications networks, and municipal infrastructure to deliver many of the conveniences within our properties.
Temporary interruptions may occur from time to time, including but not limited to: Wi-Fi and internet connectivity; electricity supply and load-shedding; water supply and water pressure; elevator and lift operation; air conditioning, heating, and HVAC systems; building access systems; satellite, cable, and television services; and shared building amenities such as pools, gyms, and common areas.
While we will make reasonable efforts to address interruptions promptly and to communicate with affected guests, such interruptions are largely outside Travelholic’s direct control. Due to local infrastructure realities in Egypt, temporary interruptions of this nature shall not constitute grounds for compensation, refund, or rate reduction, except where expressly required by Egyptian law.
Where a significant and prolonged interruption renders the unit substantially uninhabitable for its intended purpose, Travelholic will work with the affected guest to identify a reasonable resolution, which may include relocation in accordance with the Relocation Rights clause below.
Lost Items Disclaimer
Travelholic is not liable for any items that are lost, stolen, forgotten, misplaced, or otherwise disappear during the stay or after departure. Guests are responsible at all times for the safekeeping of their personal belongings, valuables, documents, electronics, and other items of personal or commercial value.
Where a guest believes that an item has been left behind, our team will, on a best-efforts basis, conduct a reasonable search and, where the item is located, coordinate with the guest for its return. The cost of any storage, shipping, courier, or handling of recovered items is the responsibility of the guest.
Travelholic accepts no responsibility for items left in safes, drawers, kitchen appliances, laundry units, balconies, parking areas, common areas, or any other part of the property.
Guest Liability and Injury
Guests use Travelholic accommodations, amenities, and common areas at their own risk. Travelholic shall not be liable for any injury, accident, illness, loss, or damage suffered by any guest, accompanying party member, or approved visitor where such injury, accident, loss, or damage results from:
Guest negligence; misuse of the unit, its appliances, amenities, or fixtures; failure to comply with reasonable safety instructions or posted signage; failure to comply with these Terms; or any act or omission of the guest, their party, or their visitors.
Guests are responsible for supervising minors and other dependents at all times. Particular care must be taken around balconies, kitchens, electrical equipment, swimming pools, gym equipment, and any feature that presents an inherent risk.
Nothing in this clause limits or excludes any liability that cannot be lawfully limited or excluded under Egyptian law.
Relocation Rights
In exceptional operational circumstances, Travelholic reserves the right to relocate guests to an equivalent or upgraded accommodation. Such circumstances may include but are not limited to overbooking, maintenance emergencies, utility failures, building-level issues, safety concerns, or any event that affects the suitability of the originally reserved unit.
Where relocation becomes necessary, Travelholic will, as far as reasonably possible, communicate with the affected guest in advance and arrange a suitable alternative within its portfolio. Any relocation will, at minimum, match the standard, capacity, and key features of the original reservation.
If, after reasonable effort, Travelholic is unable to relocate the guest to an alternative that is reasonably suitable, the affected portion of the reservation may be cancelled and refunded in accordance with our Cancellation & Refund Policy. No further compensation shall be due beyond the refund of the affected nights.
Cancellation Reference
All cancellations, modifications, no-shows, early departures, operational cancellations, and refund matters are governed by our Cancellation & Refund Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms. By accepting these Terms, you also accept the Cancellation & Refund Policy in its entirety.
Chargeback Protection
Travelholic invests significantly in honest, transparent, and well-documented hospitality operations. Where a guest initiates a payment dispute, a chargeback, or any form of reversal that is, in Travelholic’s reasonable view, unjustified, fraudulent, or inconsistent with the agreed reservation and these Terms, Travelholic will robustly contest the dispute.
In support of any contested dispute, Travelholic may submit to the payment processor, card scheme, bank, or relevant authority:
Written and recorded communications with the guest, including emails, WhatsApp messages, and SMS records; booking records and confirmations; guest acknowledgments and explicit acceptances of these Terms; occupancy records, check-in records, and identification records; photographic and video evidence of the unit before, during, and after the stay; CCTV footage from common areas, where lawful and relevant; incident reports, damage reports, and operational records; and any other documentary evidence relevant to the dispute.
Travelholic reserves all rights of recovery, including the right to pursue unpaid amounts, dispute-related costs, administrative fees, legal costs, and any other lawful remedy available under Egyptian law. Submitting a fraudulent or vexatious chargeback may also result in the guest being blocked from making future reservations with Travelholic.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Egyptian law, Travelholic’s total maximum liability to any guest, party member, visitor, or third party in connection with a reservation or stay shall never exceed the total reservation amount actually paid by the guest for that reservation.
This limitation applies to all forms of liability, however arising, including but not limited to liability in contract, tort, negligence, statute, or otherwise, and applies to direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, and punitive losses.
Nothing in this clause excludes or limits any liability that cannot be lawfully excluded or limited under Egyptian law.
Intellectual Property
All content displayed on the Travelholic website and across our communication channels — including but not limited to text, images, photography, videos, branding elements, logos, trademarks, color schemes, written materials, descriptions, illustrations, layout, design, and software — is the property of Travelholic or its licensors and is protected under applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, republish, modify, adapt, translate, sell, license, or otherwise reuse any Travelholic content for any commercial or public purpose without the prior written permission of Travelholic. Personal, non-commercial viewing within the context of a legitimate booking inquiry or stay is permitted.
The Travelholic name and brand may not be used in any way that is misleading, defamatory, or otherwise harmful to the reputation of Travelholic.
Website Accuracy and Availability
Travelholic makes reasonable efforts to keep the information on our website accurate and up to date. From time to time, we may update or amend:
Pricing and rate plans; availability and inventory; policies and Terms; unit descriptions, photography, amenities, and features; and any other content displayed on our website or communication channels.
Despite our reasonable efforts, occasional inaccuracies, omissions, outdated information, or technical errors may appear. Travelholic does not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses, malicious code, or other harmful elements, and does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the website or any associated digital service.
Where any inconsistency arises between the website and the official booking confirmation, the booking confirmation shall prevail. Where any inconsistency arises between an older version of these Terms and the version currently published on the Travelholic website, the currently published version shall prevail.
Force Majeure
Travelholic shall not be liable for any failure, delay, or interruption in the performance of its obligations where such failure, delay, or interruption results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:
Acts, decisions, or orders of government, regulatory bodies, or public authorities; epidemics, pandemics, public health emergencies, and related restrictions; utility outages and infrastructure failures; severe weather, natural events, and environmental conditions; emergencies affecting the property, the building, or the surrounding area; internet, telecommunications, and digital service disruptions; war, armed conflict, terrorism, or threats thereof; civil disruption, unrest, strikes, demonstrations, or political instability; and any other event of force majeure beyond Travelholic’s reasonable control.
In any such event, Travelholic will work in good faith with affected guests to identify a reasonable resolution, which may include rescheduling, relocation, partial refund, full refund, or a credit toward a future stay, depending on the circumstances and the operational position at the time.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms, our Cancellation & Refund Policy, our Privacy Policy, and any matter arising in connection with a Travelholic reservation or stay shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
Any dispute, claim, or proceeding arising out of or in connection with these Terms or with a Travelholic reservation shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Egypt.
